What this policy covers
This policy describes the information Bridger Aviation (“Bridger”) handles when you use its websites and mobile applications. It covers crew, operators, owners, and staff using Bridger. It does not replace the separate privacy terms of an operator, payment provider, app store, or identity provider.
Information we handle
- Account and contact information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, role, and organization membership.
- Professional information: profile details, qualifications, credentials, uploaded credential images or files, and credential review history.
- Work records: availability declarations, job applications, bookings, duty records, messages, user-selected message images, assignment contacts, and support or safety records.
- Payment information: booking payments, held compensation, refunds, transfers to your crew account, and bank-payout updates. Payment features are enabled for a booking only when Bridger has turned them on for your account and organization; until then, bookings on Bridger do not move money and no payment information is created for them. Bridger does not collect W-9s or taxpayer identification numbers, create tax forms, or characterize payments for tax.
- Device and service information: push tokens, app security checks, app and device version, request logs, and crash or error diagnostics used for security and reliability.
Camera, photos, location, and notifications
Camera and photos. Bridger asks for access only when you choose to capture or select a credential or message image. Selected files are uploaded to private storage and shared only with people who have permission to view them.
Location. This release does not request precise device location. The service uses airports that crew enter or select, assignment locations, and airport-catalogue coordinates for work discovery and travel context. These locations are not used to determine your duty or rest.
Notifications. If you opt in, Bridger uses a device push token to deliver supported operational notifications. Delivery depends on your device settings and connection. A notification does not confirm that you have read a message.
How we use and disclose information
We use information to authenticate users, provide marketplace and assignment features, protect the service, handle booking payments where payment features are enabled, provide support, and maintain factual audit and dispute records. Your account permissions, organization membership, and involvement in an assignment determine what you can see. Assignment details are shared with the authorized people involved, not made public by default.
Service providers process information on Bridger’s behalf:
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Firebase Cloud Messaging, and Firebase App Check with reCAPTCHA Enterprise): sign-in, push notifications, and checks that requests come from genuine Bridger apps.
- Stripe: payment processing for bookings and subscriptions where payment features are enabled.
- Vercel: hosting for Bridger’s websites. Vercel receives request information such as your IP address, browser details, and the pages you request.
- Cloudflare: domain name and network edge services for the connection between Bridger’s apps and its service. Cloudflare receives request information such as your IP address.
- Apple and Google: app distribution, and app integrity and push delivery on their devices.
Bridger’s database and private file storage are self-hosted on infrastructure operated for Bridger. Operators may receive information needed for their own assignments and obligations. Bridger does not sell personal information and does not use it for cross-app advertising or tracking.
Cookies and browser storage
This website does not set cookies or store information in your browser. Bridger does not use advertising or analytics cookies on its websites.
The Bridger web apps store information in your browser’s local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB to keep you signed in through Firebase Authentication, to keep requests and drafts you have not finished sending so they are not lost or sent twice, and to resume live updates after a lost connection. To protect sign-in and requests from automated abuse, the web apps use Google reCAPTCHA Enterprise through Firebase App Check, which may store its own security information in your browser. When Bridger sends you to a Stripe-hosted page, Stripe’s own cookie and privacy terms apply on that page.
You can remove this information by clearing your browser’s site data. Doing so signs you out and removes any unsent drafts saved on that device.
Storage and security
Bridger uses access controls, app security checks where supported, private object storage, and short-lived authorized links for private media. No system is perfectly secure.
How long we keep information
We keep your account information while your account is open.
When you close your account, Bridger signs you out, disables the account, and removes your profile and marketplace profile, credential records, availability, notification preferences, and support and credential-support requests. Deletion of your credential files and other private documents is queued, and your sign-in identity is deleted from Firebase Authentication.
Shared booking records, including assignment messages, together with payment, dispute, and credential-check decision records, are kept as business records. Other people involved in that work rely on them, and Bridger needs them for transaction, security, and legal obligations.
Your choices
- Edit your information: you can update your profile and credentials in Bridger.
- Close your account: on the web, go to Account and security; in the Bridger mobile app, use the account settings. You will need to confirm it’s you. Active assignments, outstanding assignment payments, an active operator subscription, and organizations you own must be resolved first.
- Notifications: in the Bridger mobile app you can choose which notifications you receive. You can also turn notifications off in your device settings.
- Device permissions: camera and photo access can be managed in your device settings.
- Privacy requests: to ask for access to or correction of your information, or for help with a privacy matter, email privacy@bridgeraviation.com from your account email address. We may need to confirm your identity and may keep records that cannot lawfully or safely be deleted.
